Themis and eNConsulting are in the contracting stage of a 50 MW solar power plant in Nigeria. The project is located in the Igabi local government area about 20km away from the capital of Kaduna State.
The project consists of a 65MWp plant with single axis tracking structures, with a fix-tilt solution.
A 20-year BOO PPA with the state backed Offtaker, Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trader has been signed in July 2016. Total project cost is USD 57 million.
Generation license and the certificate of occupancy has been issued.
EPC and O&M prequalification has been completed with the Sunel/Shanghai Electric consortium.
An ESIA has been completed and ESIA approval has been obtained by Federal Ministry of Environment. A gap analysis has been completed to ensure that the ESIA is in full compliance with the African Development Bank Operational Safeguards and IFC Performance Standards.
