Themis is developing a solar PV generation facility in Oloyangalani, Kajiado County, Kenya. The facility is being developed in two distinct phases of 10MW and 30MW each. The first phase, 10 MW is in the financing stage.

The power generated from the first phase of the project will be sold to the Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited under a signed 20-year power purchase agreement that was approved by the Energy Regulatory Commission on 5 December 2017 and is expected to produce circa 17 GWh per year.

The NEMA and Generation licenses have been issued and Financial Close is expected to be reached in 2020. The first electrons are expected by early 2021.
