Mr. Mackin is a Managing Partner of Denham Capital and heads the firm’s International Power team. Mr. Mackin brings over 30 years of energy experience to Denham and is a voting member of the Power Investment Committee and a member of the Valuation Committee.  He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Energy, Jenner Renewables, Rio Energy, and Themis Energy.  He was the inaugural Chairman of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) Energy Council and is a frequent guest speaker at the London Business School.  He is also a Board member of Positive Planet UK and a Business Mentor for under-employed young people for The Prince’s Trust. Prior to joining Denham, Mr. Mackin was President and CEO of Covanta Energy Corporation, President of Ogden Energy, and General Counsel at Ogden Projects.  He also was an Associate at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis and Law Clerk to the Hon. Daniel H. Huyett III, Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Mackin graduated summa cum laude, Bachelor of Arts, Honors Program, from Villanova University and cum laude, with a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
