25 years of international experience gained through expert knowledge of environmental and social performance, compliance and governance of projects/activities that are subject to international financing, while working for an NGO, contractors, consulting firms and an international financing institution. Pierre is currently serving in the E&S Advisory Panel of Themis. Previously he worked as a associate director, senior environmental officer adviser and hydropower sector lead at EBRD where he has led 24 energy projects on all environmental and technical matters. He currently also operates as a consultant through his own firm Alpage SARL where he has been involved in 17 energy projects assisting a number of DIFs such as EBRD, AfDb, FMO and AFC for a total of circa 3,100 MW. Pierre is also the primary author of EBRD’s “Environmental and social guidance note for hydropower projects“. He holds a Higher and Special Mathematics degree from Lycée Thiers, Marseille. He is a citizen of France.
