11 years of experience in infrastructure and real estate development projects; both as engineer and project finance officer. Alkan is currently an Associate Director of Themis.  Prior to this, he participated in the development of two peat fired power plants with an aggregate capacity of 95 MW in SSA. He previously worked 1 year in TAV Construction Business Development department and 4 years at TAV Airports Holding Strategy and Project Finance departments. He has been involved in financing of USD 2billion worth of airport PPP transactions across MENA Region. Prior to this, Alkan worked as consultant engineer in Drees & Sommer Projekt Management AG, a Germany based technical consultancy company. The focus of his work has been construction monitoring and technical consultancy for international real estate funds and developers. He holds a Master Degree in Construction Management from Darmstadt Technical University, Germany. He is a citizen of Turkey.
